Varsity Triathlon
Varsity sport at Monash offers you the chance to represent Monash University in competitions against other universities at local, national, and occasionally international levels.
Each year, individuals and teams take part in a variety of events such as the Big Blue Varsity Challenge, UniSport Nationals as well as stand alone events like the Gold Coast Marathon and Wollongong Triathlon Festival. Join your fellow Monash athletes, enhance your university experience, and be part of something truly special!
Eligibility
All Varsity athletes must be enrolled in at least one unit at Monash in the year of competing.

Race Options:
To be contested in both men’s and women’s competitions in Sprint and Standard (Olympic) distances at the Peoplecare Triathlon Wollongong. Para Triathlon events will also be offered in the competition.

Registration
Students are invited to demonstrate their endurance and athletic ability by participating in this exciting triathlon event. As an independent event, students join the competition independently, while liaising with Monash Sport for support. Please make sure you;
- Register via the Wollongong Triathlon website. Register
- Check the '2026 UniSport Nationals Triathlon' box when registering and enter your university name and student number to ensure your results count. Keep note of your registration ID!
- Register via the UniSport Australia website. Note: If you do not register on the UniSport website, your results will not count towards your university’s point score. Register
- Email our team via the details below so we can provide you with your free Monash top, the representation agreement and off campus training module.
Expressions of Interest
Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the 2026 Varsity Triathlon program are now closed.
Thank you to everyone who submitted an EOI for the 2026 season. Selections have now been finalised, and preparations are underway for the upcoming season.
