Varsity swimming offers you the chance to represent Monash University in competitions against other universities at local, national, and occasionally international levels. 

Each year, our teams take part in a variety of events such as the Big Blue Varsity Challenge and UniSport Nationals. Join your fellow Monash athletes, enhance your university experience, and be part of something truly special!

Eligibility

All Monash students are invited to try out for a Monash Varsity Sport team. Trials typically take place between February and June, depending on the sport and event.

All Varsity athletes must be enrolled in at least one unit at Monash in the year of competing.

Athletes are required to meet the qualifying standards set by UniSport Australia. These time standards can be found here.

2026 Varsity events

UniSport Swimming National Championships:

15th - 17th May

Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre

Olympic Boulevard, Sydney Olympic Park NSW 212

Both men's and women's events at the 2026 Sydney Open. Multi-class events will also be offered.
