Shorinji Kempo is a martial art comprised of punching, kicking, blocking, take downs, throws, joint locks and pins. The techniques are based on speed, balance, pressure points and body movement and don't require physical strength.

ABOUT US

The Monash Shorinji Kempo club was established around 1983 and has been in continued practice. The mission of the club is to propagate the teachings of the martial art which is a way of life embodying body and mind.

It teaches self defence and develops a good mental and sharing attitude towards society. The martial arts consist of both hard (goho) and soft (juho) techniques as well as mental meditation for clearing the mind, at each training session.
